After a 2-2 draw with fellow Australian Cameron Burgess' Scunthorpe in the first leg, two goals at home were enough to secure progress from the second leg for the Millers with an aggregate score of 4-2.

Williams started on the right wing for Rotherham, while Burgess was on the bench for the Iron.

Richie Towell struck with a header in the 47th minute to put the Millers 1-0 ahead.

In the second half Will Vaulks slammed the ball past Rory Watson in goal to make it 2-0.

Perth product Williams, the younger brother of Melbourne Victory's Rhys Williams, was substituted in the 67th minute after being targeted with several strong fouls.

Scunthorpe went down to 10 men in the 76th minute after Rory McArdle received a second yellow card.

Rotherham will now face Shrewsbury Town in the final at Wembley on May 27, with a spot in the Championship up for grabs.
