Colombia and Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez says their 3-0 win over Poland in Kazan on Monday morning felt like a home game.
La Tricolor eased past the Poles in the crucial clash in Group H, and their fans were vocal throughout the game.
Colombia now turn their attention to Senegal in the final game, and a draw will be enough to secure a Round of 16 spot.
The temperature in Kazan reached 30C during the game and Sanchez said it felt like they were playing at home.
“This is like Colombia, you saw the stadium, it’s like Colombia,” Sanchez said post-match.
“When you have support like this, it’s always easy to do everything.
“The heat was normal for us and we won.”
Colombian captain Radamel Falcao managed to get himself on the scoresheet and Sanchez said he was learning off stars like him and James Rodriquez.
“It’s unbelievable, they’re unbelievable players and when you have players like these guys, it’s easier for you because you need to be focused as a striker, the ball gets passed to you perfectly and you need to try to score.” he said.
