Gwargis, 19, was a 77th minute substitute for Sweden U20's and scored the winner in a tense 3-2 victory at home to Norway U20's. 

He began his professional career at Husqvarna FF where he made 19 appearances at 17 years of age in the third tier of Swedish football. He caught the eye of second division club Jönköpings Södra IF and impressed on the wing with three goals and three assists. 

That was enough for Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion to snap up the youngster on a three year deal last season.

He famously scored in Brighton's FA Youth Cup triumph, knocking out Manchester United to reach the round of 16 early this year. 

He has gone on to make 20 appearances for Brighton's youth teams and made his debut for the first team in their Carabao Cup loss to Aston Villa last month, claiming an assist in 90 minutes.

For Sweden, Gwargis is playing alongside first division regulars like star striker Ali Youssef who scored a double in the match against Norway.

Gwargis is eligible for Australia by virtue of being born in Sydney but has already represented Sweden at U16 and U19 level.
