'We understand why': Victory midfielder leaves club

One of Melbourne Victory's European imports, defensive midfielder Migjen Basha, has announced he's leaving the club.

“We played a really good match and dominated large parts of the showdown. It annoys me that we did not score more goals,” Mabil told the Midtjylland official website.

“We delivered as a team and followed the plan, but we have to put the ball away in our good periods. We take that with us and continue to work towards the next round.”

Mabil's side will play again in a friendly match tomorrow, before they kick off their season against Sonderjyske next month.

Midtjylland are the reigning regular season premiership winners in Denmark, but lost the Championship round to FC Copenhagen.
