West Ham United and Umbro have unveiled the club's new black 2017-18 away kit which marks a major change for the Hammers.

The new design is a first-ever black and blue strip, with the Hammers traditionally wearing navy away kits.

It's all part of the #WeAllFollowTheWestHam campaign about the club's committed supporters.

The kit also features the Union Jack motif, which harks back to the club's origins as Thames Ironworks FC.

Umbro Head of Marketing Jason Fairclough said: “The 2017/18 season sees the reintroduction of the famous running diamond to Umbro’s kits. First introduced in 1977, it was an iconic staple to Umbro kits for decades. Forty years after its first introduction the taping now returns as a visual statement.

“All Umbro kits are constructed with great fit and bold styling at the heart of their design. Elongated articulated panels provide freedom of movement, with stylised hem and Club-specific stitching details complementing the look.”

The West Ham away kit is available by the club's official store now or at Rebel Sport soon.
