Australian teenager Gabriel Cleur has moved on loan from Italian Serie B club Virtus Entella to third tier Robur Siena for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old Sydney-born defender/midfielder had failed to make one appearance for Virtus Entella this term, having debuted late in the 2016-17 campaign after 21 appearances with the Primavera side.
Cleur has featured in 13 matchday squads this season but opportunities weren’t forthcoming and he has opted to move to Serie C.
The former Western Sydney Wanderers youth player’s new club currently sits second in Serie C’s Group A with a view to promotion.
“My goal is to play first-team football,” Cleur told FourFourTwo in June.
“I want to become more mature by playing first-team football.”
