Australian midfielder Jake Brimmer is one of six Liverpool Academy players released by English giants, Liverpool.
The exit list was announced overnight.
Earlier this year FourFourTwo revealed that the 19-year-old was keen to stay in Europe if released by the Reds, as expected.
Brimmer, who joined Liverpool three years ago from Victorian outfit Nunawading City, said a shot at the A-League was not on his radar.
“I’ve been looking a few other clubs but nothing’s been confirmed yet,” he said back in March.
“Europe is the main key for me. I want to stay in Europe, whether it’s in the UK or whether its Holland, Germany, wherever really.
"Obviously I’ll be looking at a few other clubs and it’s where I’m comfortable with the style of football I play as well.”
The Young Socceroo said he felt ready to step up to first team football: “My main key now is to stay fit, keep the ball rolling and look in Europe and go from there.
“My idea is not to go home at this stage yet. I think I am capable of playing senior football at this point in time.”
