The Sydney-raised 18-year-old midfielder has impressed at youth level with Udinese, scoring nine goals and providing four assists last term for their Primavera side.

He also made his first-team debut for Udinese in the 2016-17 pre-season against Slovenian club Olimpija Ljubljana.

Armenakas reportedly had interest from two other Serie A clubs, along with Dutch club FC Twente but opted for Tubize, with the lure of first-team football.

Udinese also confirmed that Armenakas has renewed his contract with the Serie A outfit until June 2019.

California-born Armenakas represented Greece at Under-17 level in 2014, before accepted a call-up from Australia to be part of the Joeys set-up later that year.

Armenakas, who spent time at Sydney Olympic as a youngster, represented Australia at the 2015 Under-17 World Cup.

The teenager has spent time with Bolton, Brescia, Watford and Udinese in recent years.

Armenakas told FourFourTwo in September that he was thriving in Europe.

"It’s been a really great experience sharing the field with some amazing football players and coaches," he said.

“My skills have improved and tactically the Italian game is helping me grow. My goal is to continue to grow as an individual and help my team succeed. I really look forward to the future.”
