The 24-year-old played another full 90 minutes for AGF in midfield as they claimed their first win of the season after their first-up 2-1 loss to Horsens.

Amini wasn't involved in much attacking play but laid off the pass that led to substitute Mustapha Bundu's sensational 88th minute goal.

The Australian got the ball centrally in Hobro's half, whipping a pass to the left side just outside the box, with Bundu having plenty to do.

The Sierra Leone talent took three touches before firing in a spectacular right-foot strike to make it 2-0.

Amini played 36 games in all competitions for AGF last season, scoring five goals and told FourFourTwo recently he's hoping for his best season yet in Europe in 2017-18.

“I’ve had two seasons in the Superliga and hopefully the third one will be my best,” Amini said.

“I’ve played 30-odd games each season. In Europe it’s not as easy as people think. That’s part of it. I’m happy I’m in a team.

“Now the competition in my club has gone up a level with five new great signings. Training is always intense for the starting XI.

“My ambition is another season of high quality football. I always want to improve and get better. Play as many games as possible and do well for the team.”
